How to create a MySQL database in cPanel
Open MySQL Databases in cPanel. Create a database with a clear name, then create a database user with a strong password. Add the user to the database and tick the privileges the application needs, usually All Privileges for standard website software. Copy the database name, username, password and host, which is usually localhost, into your application configuration file or installer. Keep credentials private and never publish them in frontend code. If an application cannot connect, check the username prefix, password accuracy and whether the user has been assigned to the correct database.
