How to change PHP version in cPanel

Open Select PHP Version or MultiPHP Manager in cPanel, depending on the server setup. Choose the domain you want to update and select the required PHP version. Modern WordPress sites usually work best with a supported PHP 8 version, but older plugins may need testing first. After changing PHP, check the website, admin area, contact forms and checkout pages. If errors appear, switch back and update themes or plugins before trying again. You can also enable common PHP extensions from the selector when applications require modules such as zip, intl, gd or mysqli.
