How to clone WordPress with Softaculous
Open Softaculous and view your current WordPress installations. Click Clone on the website you want to copy. Choose the destination protocol, domain and directory. Leave the directory blank if the clone should load from the domain root. Softaculous copies the files and database, then updates configuration values for the new location. Cloning is useful for redesigns, testing or moving a site to another domain. After cloning, log in to the new WordPress admin area, check permalinks, review SSL settings and make sure search engines are discouraged if the clone is only for testing.
