How to create a WordPress staging site with Softaculous
Open Softaculous in cPanel and go to your WordPress installations. Choose the staging option for the site you want to copy. Select a staging URL, often a subdomain such as staging.yourdomain.com, and start the clone. Use staging to test plugin updates, theme changes, PHP version changes or redesigns without affecting the live site. When finished, Softaculous can push changes back to live, but review the options carefully so you do not overwrite new orders or posts. Always take a backup before pushing staging changes to production.
